Friday April 3, 2020 7 p.m. Benefit for stained glass window restoration
A ten-piece brass ensemble concert, to benefit the stained-glass window restoration, will be held on Friday, April 3 at 7 pm in the church sanctuary. This is a "pass the hat" free-will event. All donations will benefit the Window Capital Campaign to restore the church's historic stained glass windows.
The variety of music is arranged by Dave Sporny. Mr. Sporny is retired trombone professor from UMass Amherst. Dave’s arrangements are top-notch and are as fun for the performer as well as the audience. The concert will feature a wide variety of music including folk tunes, marches, jazz, and musical selections.
Musicians expected are: Dan Farina, Tom Gotwals, Karen Atherton, and church member Melissa Griffin on trumpet. Jean Jeffries will be playing Horn. Trombone musicians are Dave Sporny, Tim Atherton, Ariel Templeton, and Bill Carr. Will Choe will play tuba.
Refreshments will be served following this amazing concert.
