The Young Jesus print

by Heinrich Hofmann

Located on the back wall of our sanctuary, this is a framed print of the Young Christ in the Temple. It’s an image of the young Jesus Christ surrounded by four elders of the Temple and one attendant looking on. This work is a well-known image attributed to Johann Michael Ferdinand Heinrich Hofmann (1824 -1911) who was a German painter of the late 19th to early 20th century. Known as “Heinrich Hofmann,” he is best known for his many paintings depicting the life of Jesus Christ. This beautiful print was donated to the church by the late Pamela White Sand and her husband.
