Hi MLC friends,

It’s been a rough several weeks with our Zoom services streaming out live in real time from church. Eeeek!

Let’s face it, even members of the committee working so very hard to make this technology work have been disappointed. Tina is typing this and more than once she has left the service cuz she just could not hear it!

But we must persevere just like those many folks in the Bible did…We have learned a bunch in the last week – like that our Comcast router was faulty and even kicked the Comcast technician off the video/audio network – the router has been replaced at no charge! This defective piece of equipment has had much to do with our audio and visual challenges since 10/1/2020! And, we now feel pretty confident what additional equipment we need to buy. We need microphones, stands, and other stuff! We have ordered it - thanks to YOUR generosity in sending in financial donations to support this technology! We are definitely on the right path with orders of equipment, technology consultations this week with folks who have been successful in similar situations, and most importantly - we are “adjusting our sails” in this sea of computers and the world wide web to catch the wind.

Watch for improvements every week and hang in there with us! Most importantly, please reply to this email with your feedback about this Sunday’s service online and future Sundays – we need your feedback to get a true understanding of what’s happening via Zoom.

We are very much interested to hear this Sunday 10/18/2020 at 10:30 a.m. what Anita has to say in her message “Adjusting Our Sails.” Check out the attached is the Order of Worship.

Reservations for in church building are not required due to recent changes in state mandated attendance policies. In church attendees will need to wear masks and follow other posted protocols.

We are still asking that if you have an announcement(s) or a prayer(s) for this week’s service, PLEASE email it to us in advance by 9 P.M. Saturday evening at info@marylyonchurch.org or call Anita at 413-625-6481. Announcements and prayer requests will be read from the pulpit so all should be able to hear whether on Zoom or at the church.

Sunday 10/18/2020 for worship on Zoom: Join anytime between 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. for fellowship and technology help. Worship starts at 10:30 a.m.
